I have seen multiple websites mentioned. Are we supposed to use immigration.go.th or is that outdated, tx!
08/20/2024 at 7:04 pm #14083KathrynGuestThe official website for applying online for Thai evisa is now: https://thaievisa.go.th
Please note that you have to be physically in your home country in order to quality for using this website. It was launched after COVID I believe, and it’s not like other SEA countries that allow you to be anywhere when you apply.
08/20/2024 at 7:05 pm #14084HeatherGuestAhhh bummer. 😭😭 THANK YOU
08/20/2024 at 7:06 pm #14085MarkGuestif you want the DTV visa, you must go to your local Thai Embassy, not necessarily in your home country.
08/20/2024 at 7:07 pm #14086AmberGuestyah, it’s so weird they launch the long-waited evisa site, but nobody qualifies lol
08/20/2024 at 7:08 pm #14087AmandaGuestThis is Thailand!
08/24/2024 at 1:53 pm #14091ScottGuestThe evisa site is so worthless.
Other countries like Indonesia or Vietnam you can apply online but for Thai evisa you must be in your native country!!! Fuck that.

Be careful using the thaievas.go.th website because several people are reporting the site is slow and broken, times out and sometimes you lost your entire application, no status update and no receipt or reference to your application. And some people lost their money, for vague reasons. Maybe they were using the site and not located in their home country but on Trustpilot one guy was rejected and stole his money and they didn’t tell him why.
08/29/2024 at 5:06 am #14107MatthewGuestYou are not eligible to apply for a visa through Thai E-Visa system. Please apply for a visa in person at the nearest Thai Embassy or Consulate.
I see this when trying to apply DTV visa there

You cannot buy DTV visa from agencies! Only directly from Thai embassies.
01/04/2025 at 10:18 am #14631LoriGuestthaievisa.org is also a SCAM. https://www.raiyai.com/forum/topic/warning-thaievisa-org-is-not-an-official-thai-government-website/
02/01/2025 at 5:32 pm #14864MeganGuestthere are a crap load of fake websites circulating social media and discussion forums right now (even on Google Maps) pretending to be DTV visa homepages from the Thai government using names like “Destination Thailand Visa” as if that’s their company name! scammers!
02/01/2025 at 5:32 pm #14865TeresaGuestUtterly shocking. Thailand has scams?
02/01/2025 at 5:33 pm #14866GloriaGuest02/01/2025 at 5:35 pm #14867JohnGuestif you want the DTV visa, you must go to your local Thai Embassy, not necessarily in your home country.
BOTH OF YOU ARE WRONG. You are supposed to be physically in your country of employment when you apply for the DTV evisa! Of course, many Thai visa agencies are lying about this and saying you can go to Laos but technically that is illegal.
