There are several stories on Reddit and Facebook in the last few weeks of digital nomads being denied entry or extorted for 20,000 baht at the airport who had acquired the DTV visa using agencies in Bangkok. When they arrived at the airport, Thai Immigration officers told them their details were not complete in the system and it was clear they had not acquired the visa properly using the eVisa portal and they could either leave Thailand or pay large amounts of cash if they still wanted to enter the kingdom.
Please be careful and do not think you can throw some cash at a visa agent and magically get a 5-year DTV visa that you don’t qualify for and the airports will simply let you pass, because they won’t!

Anyone who gets deported for this deserves it tbh and probably banned for 2 years also.
