best Thailand embassy for the DTV visa application?

    I am reading a lot of opinions however the one consistent thing is that Malaysia tends to be very strict. I don’t know why but that always seems to be the case even before the DTV Visa, the Thai embassy in KL has always been weird af

    I have read the Thai embassies in Vietnam and Cambodia are pretty straightforward, at least, for now.

    I think it’s Thai government strategy. They want to cheap backpackers who hop over to Laos or Malaysia to get rejected, waste their time and money and force them to give up.

    Jakarta? Like zero expats living there lmao. That’s probably why it’s easier, the embassy staff are not tired and grumpy. And Thai Ministry of Affairs knows it’s a place for “bird shit” backpackers to hop the border and back with fake documentation.
