Chaweng Beach (หาดเฉวง)

Chaweng Beach, while rather clean with beautiful views of the bay, is nearly impossible to find unless you are staying at one of the resorts along the water. While is it completely legal for anyone to visit the beach, there are simply very few access paths to get down to the water from the Chaweng Beach Road area. Your options include pretending you are a guest at one of the coastal resorts and restaurants, or walking quite far from either end, such as from Chaweng Noi Beach. Lively and vibrant, the beach is packed with sun-bathing tourists, volleyball games, and cute restaurants, lined with old trees and still privvy to various squid fishing boats. A notch above a party scene, the strip caters more to mid-level luxury travelers.
