I was discussing this with a buddy recently, and it’s a a great question. Singapore tries to pretend they are the most modern and easy airport to transit through but it’s absolutely not. You must exist Immigration, find your airline counter, and print out PAPER boarding passes unless you are transiting through a high-end carrier like Singapore Airlines etc who will do it for you at the transfer desk.
